Club history | |||
Milton Keynes Roller Dance Club was started in 1980 at Woughton leisure centre.
The first skating club in Milton Keynes used the Stantonbury Leisure Centre, this was in 1978, but as only limited time at this centre was available we looked around for other suitable venues and formed what is now known as Milton Keynes Roller Dance Club. Around the same time the Agora Centre opened in Wolverton, this had roller skating facilities and we found time to skate and hold lessons there. During the last 30+ years the club has produced many successful skaters, some of these having gone on to win the British Youth, Junior and Senior Roller Dance Championships. |
Our aim is to provide people of all ages a chance to train and develop their \'roller skate\' skills into qualified dance competitors. During the year we take part in Roller Dance competitions with other clubs across the UK, A friendly rivalry exists with all the clubs we compete with and many friendships are established through these competitions. The club has an excellent team of coaches who work very hard to make the club successful. |
We are always looking for new members of any age or ability. If you or a member of your family would like to learn to extend their skating skills into Roller Dance then please come along to one of our training mornings.
